Dave was supposed to leave Chicago at 11:30 this morning, and land at 12:20 p.m.
At 11:00, the flight got pushed back to 11:45.
At 12:00, the flight got pushed back to 12:10 with a 1:00 arrival. I found this out while waiting for his plane at the airport.
At 12:45, it was delayed until 1:15.
At 1:00, they were told to get off the plane and go back into the terminal.
At 1:15, they announced that they weren’t sure when the plane was going to leave.
At 2:00, the flight was canceled; but he managed to get a seat assignment on a 4:40 flight.
At 4:00, there was a gate change. And another delay.
At 4:30, the flight was delayed until 5:00.
At 5:00, they announced they didn’t have a pilot.
At 5:15, there was another gate change.
At 5:30, they found a pilot & were ready to start pre-boarding.
At 5:35, they announced that the electrical system on the plane wasn’t working and boarding came to a screeching halt.
At 5:55, the electrical system came back to life & they started boarding.
At 6:00, they delayed takeoff until 6:10.
At 6:10, they delayed takeoff until 6:17.
At 6:30, they delayed takeoff until 6:35.
At 6:43, they delayed it to 6:50.
I don’t know who I feel more like: the jilted prom date or the expectant father.
